Wonderful accommodation in the heart of Keswick - shops, restaurants, and beautiful walks all steps away from the front door. Great light and modern furnishings throughout. Richard is probably the most proactively communicative and helpful host I’ve encountered with excellent local recommendations.

Our stay here was amazing. The location is perfect - there are plenty walks, bars, restaurants within 10-20 mins from the cottage. The cottage was super clean and had everything we needed. We would definitely book again!

We went to the Lake District last year and had to come back this year, Keswick didn’t disappoint and we thought it was better than Windermere! Our host was excellent with their communication and the information they provided, making it easy to find and check in to their property. Lovely cute cottage with everything you need. Also gave some great local recommendations and the digital guide they provided was really useful. We are a family of 3 with an 11 year old daughter and had plenty to do. The cottage is in the perfect location and a short walk to all the cafes, restaurants, shops, parks and pubs (plenty of craft beers) My favourite shop was an independent book store called Bookends - a book lovers heaven! Can recommend - hike up to the summit of Catbells, hiring bikes to do the Keswick to Threlkeld route (10km flat) - amazing tea room in Threlkeld, Fitz Park is on your doorstep, Rookin House for horse riding and adventures and a walk around Derwent Water. Lots of memories made.

Our 2nd time at Richard and Isabel’s place, ideal location and really comfortable place to stay after a days walking in the lakes. Richard is friendly and easy to communicate with.

Our stay at Mickledoor Cottage was perfect. The fantastic location made it easy to find restaurants, bars, shops and walks to take in the scenery. Richard and Isabel provided a lot of useful information regarding the area which really helped us plan our trip. The cottage was superbly clean and had all the amenities required to make it a comfortable hassle free stay. There was plenty of space for the 4 of us plus our 2 little doggies. Will definitely be looking to return.

The place is located so well. From the doorstep you can walk 2minutes to the centre of town as well as straight on to walks round derwentwater, Latrigg and Catbells. Richard was very responsive to queries prior to arrival and went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed for our stay. The house has everything you could need and was perfectly laid out and spotless for our arrival. I would recommend Richard and Isabell as hosts and this property to anyone without hesitation.

Gorgeous cottage right in the middle of Keswick. We didn’t need to use the car all week as everything is walkable. Having an EV charger reduced our stress levels as we didn’t have to worry about finding a charger, and it was free which was another bonus! If you’re going to do Keswick parkrun it’s a five minute walk to the start from the cottage. The house were extremely proactive and helpful, and we really enjoyed our holiday. Highly recommend this AirBnB.

Lovely trip with friends, very comfortable and much preferred it to staying in hotels, it’ll be self catering from now on because the standard is so high. Everything we needed was there. Thank you.

Richard and Isabel were very responsive from the start of our booking. The emailed information document was excellent and a great help. Cottage was lovely and clean and within easy walking to Keswick. We hope to be back when we visit the Lakes again.
